This policy explains how Exelon Circuits Private Limited ("Exelon", "we") handles information in the EyeOnn Android app and on this website.
The short version
- EyeOnn connects your phone directly to your cameras. Your video does not pass through us.
- The app has no Exelon server, no advertising and no analytics.
- Camera details stay on your phone, unless Android backup copies them.
- We receive information only when you choose to send it to us.
Information stored on your phone
The app stores the following in its private storage on your phone:
- Camera and device names, network addresses, usernames and passwords
- App accounts, with account passwords stored as hashes
- Groups, favorites and app settings
- Your license key and the Machine ID the app generates for your phone
- An audit log of activity such as sign-ins and camera changes
- Camera thumbnails kept to speed up the app
Camera passwords are not encrypted inside this storage. Protect your phone with a screen lock, and remove saved devices before you give the phone to someone else.
Snapshots you take are saved to your phone's photo gallery.
Android backup
If Android backup is turned on, Android may copy the app's data to your Google account or to a new phone. This data can include camera addresses, usernames and unencrypted camera passwords. Exelon cannot read these backups. Google's terms apply to them. To prevent this, turn off backup for your phone or Google account.
Video and camera access
Live video travels between your cameras and your phone over your own network connection. EyeOnn does not record video, and we do not receive or store it. You must only connect to cameras that you own or are authorized to access, and you are responsible for following surveillance and privacy laws that apply to them.
Phone permissions
The app uses network access to reach your cameras and to find them on your local network. It can use your phone's biometric or screen lock for sign-in if you turn this on. Biometric data stays with Android and is never shared with the app or with us.
Information you send us
We receive information only when you contact us or request a license. This can include:
- Your name, company, email address and phone number
- Your phone's Machine ID, which we need to issue a license key
- Support diagnostics, which the app creates only when you ask and shares only if you choose
We use this information to issue licenses, provide support and keep business records. We do not sell it. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, or when the law requires it. We keep it for as long as needed for these purposes and to meet legal obligations.
This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising. Cloudflare hosts the site and processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it. Links to Google Play, WhatsApp and other sites are covered by those companies' own policies.
Security
The app supports sign-in, user roles and an audit log. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for your phone, your network and your camera passwords.
Children
EyeOnn is a business app for people aged 18 and over. It is not intended for children.
Your choices and rights
You can delete saved devices in the app's settings, or delete everything on the phone by uninstalling the app. You can ask us to access, correct or delete information you have sent us, subject to the law. We handle information in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and other applicable Indian law.
